The golf cart speed sensor is on the end cap of the 48 Volt AMD IQ/Sepex motor. The speed sensor is installed with two screws over the magnet.

Symptoms of a bad speed sensor or magnet is limp mode. If the cart takes off strong and then falls on its face and will not exceed a slow speed it means the controller is not receiving the RPM count of the motor which in most cases means the speed sensor or magnet is bad. In rare cases the problem can be in your carts wiring harness.
