These adapters are machined from a full 1-inch sheet of solid-core virgin HDPE - one of the most expensive plastics to work with for speaker adapters, and also the best. At 1-inch thick, the adapter doubles as a spacer ring, giving your aftermarket drivers the mounting depth they need to clear the door structure while providing an absolutely rigid platform. No flex, no resonance, no compromise.

Most adapter companies will not touch 1-inch HDPE because it costs more, takes longer to machine, and requires heavier tooling. We use it because the Huracan and R8 deserve better than a stack of MDF rings glued together in a shop.
