Furthermore, this basket design effectively allows the spider to be positioned higher inside the basket preventing the spider and lead wire from hitting the front plate at higher power levels. Lastly, the motor design consists of a 33 oz ferrite magnet (Y35 grade) and an 8 mm T-Yoke which maximizes the power capabilities of the magnet. \u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAnother feature that sets this speaker apart from the competition is the copper clad aluminum (CCAW) voice coil. CCAW performs better than copper voice coils at middle to high frequencies. It is also lighter than copper wire, therefore, allowing this midrange speaker to have a higher sensitivity and be louder than copper wire at certain frequencies.
