2010-Up EZ-GO TXT/Sepex 48 Volt Replacement Speed Sensor & High-Speed Magnet

The golf cart speed sensor is in the end cap of the 48 Volt TXT/Sepex motor. A snap ring holds it in place above the magnet.

Symptoms of a bad speed sensor or magnet is limp mode. If the cart takes off strong and then falls on its face and will not exceed a slow speed it means the controller is not receiving the RPM count of the motor which in most cases means the speed sensor or magnet is bad. In rare cases the problem can be in your carts wiring harness.
