Plum Quick Blue Hornet Sepex Replacement Speed Sensor & Magnet

The golf cart speed sensor is on the end cap of the Plum Quick Blue Hornet Sepex motor. The speed sensor is installed with two screws over the magnet.

Symptoms of a bad speed sensor or magnet is limp mode. If the cart takes off strong and then falls on its face and will not exceed a slow speed it means the controller is not receiving the RPM count of the motor which in most cases means the speed sensor or magnet is bad. In rare cases the problem can be in your carts wiring harness.

Note: The replacement speed sensor will come with the standard gray triangle speed sensor plug connection. This is the standard plug connection for Club Car IQ/Sepex motors, however for EZ-GO and Yamaha Sepex motors simply clip the three wires right behind the gray triangle connector, clip the three wires on your old speed sensor (leaving your wires as long as possible) and use wire connectors to splice your speed sensor connector to the new speed sensor. Simply connect the BLACK to BLACK, RED to RED and then connect the remaining two odd colored wires together.
