During the research & development of any new product, the team at SPE takes a very holistic engineering approach. That means it’s not uncommon for the R&D team to be developing one part when the decision is made to develop another one. This was the case when the idea of the SPE Super Duty Cab Mounts came to fruition. It was very obvious that the factory cab mounts from a not-so-high-mileage Powerstroke absolutely needed to be replaced before the cab went down. 

In true SPE fashion, they designed the mounts around a billet housing rather than inferior coated stamped steel ones that the factory and aftermarket use. The stamped mild steel is one of the leading causes of the deterioration of not only the housing but the rubber as well. 

These billet housings allow for tighter tolerances for an overall better fit and ride quality. The SPE Mounts use thick silicone isolators formulated for the absolute best performance, ride, and longevity. Between each major contact point, we utilize nylon spacers, so no marring occurs on the cab or frame. SPE supplies zinc-coated hardware instead of cheap galvanized factory-style bolts, all in the name of quality.
