What does a downpipe do?
The downpipe on your Jeep Wrangler is responsible for directing exhaust gases away from the turbocharger or engine and into the rest of the exhaust system. In turbocharged vehicles, an aftermarket Jeep Wrangler downpipe typically features a larger diameter than the factory part and may either utilize a high-flow catalytic converter or completely remove it.
