The starter driven gear is machined as the part is made. There are no welds to break. There can be no warping or mis-shaping of the plate. This makes the Meziere True Billet Flexplate the most concentric, straightest and strongest flexplate money can buy. With the Meziere Flex plate there is no need to worry about breaking a plate.
