The SB500 delivers a surge of power to the factory 12-volt battery as it cranks, then rapidly recharges (usually in only a few seconds), ready to use again. The improved and  stabilized voltage leads to longer-lasting factory batteries, starters, relays, and engine control modules, improving reliability and lowering the likelihood of costly repairs.

Ultracaps (aka Supercapacitors) also work extraordinarily well in extreme hot or cold. In winter, the Ultracap delivers a much-needed burst of energy to vehicles using a typically slow-cranking AGM battery. Rated to more than a million cycles, the Ultracap is designed to work well in commercial vehicles or “daily drivers”, normally lasting more than a decade.
