The SHCA FEX Series was built for enthusiasts who want serious bass performance without stretching their budget. By combining everything we learned from the incredibly popular FE and FXB platforms, we created what can best be described as the offspring of both—a subwoofer that delivers impressive output, outstanding musicality, and exceptional value.

Rather than simply building a "budget" woofer, we focused on maximizing performance through intelligent engineering. Every component was selected to deliver the greatest performance per dollar while maintaining the quality and reliability Sky High Car Audio is known for.

At the heart of every FEX subwoofer is a 2.75-inch, 4-layer high-temperature voice coil. This design provides excellent thermal power handling while keeping moving mass lower than many larger coil designs, allowing the woofer to remain responsive, efficient, and highly musical. Whether you're chasing daily bass or enjoying a wide variety of music, the FEX is designed to perform with authority.

Supporting the motor is an oversized dual progressive spider suspension engineered to provide outstanding control while maintaining excellent compliance. By utilizing spider packs that are substantially larger than what is typically found on a 2.75-inch voice coil, the FEX achieves exceptional cone control, improved mechanical stability, and long-term durability while remaining extremely musical. Combined with 19mm of one-way Xmax, the suspension allows the woofer to deliver deep, clean bass with excellent linearity and impressive low-frequency extension across a wide variety of enclosure designs.

One of the biggest differences between the FEX and the FXB Series is the basket. Instead of the cast aluminum frame found on the FXB, the FEX features our all-new proprietary SHCA stamped steel basket. This newly engineered frame dramatically reduces manufacturing cost while also providing a noticeably shallower mounting depth, making installation easier in trucks, SUVs, and other applications where every inch matters. The savings from the stamped basket are passed directly to you without sacrificing the performance that matters most.

While the FEX is designed to be more affordable, it is far from an entry-level driver. We didn't cut corners by using lower-quality components. The FEX is built using the same premium materials and manufacturing standards found throughout the Sky High Car Audio subwoofer lineup. From the high-temperature voice coil materials to the suspension components and motor assembly, every part is selected with durability and long-term reliability in mind.

Available in 10-inch, 12-inch, 15-inch, and 18-inch models, every FEX subwoofer is rated to handle 1,250 watts RMS. This gives builders the flexibility to choose the size that best fits their enclosure and performance goals while knowing they're getting the same engineering, materials, and performance across the entire lineup.
