- Will need to remove side saddle tanks and install Blazer/Surburban tank in trucks
- Blazer Suburban rocker issues: Some of these have a panel that runs horizontally, over from the pinch weld, to the frame making a big box structure below the floor pan. That will not work with this kit, unless you make holes in that panel.
Easily add a power step kit to your Square Body Chevy 73-87. Amp Research Power Folding Step Kit, 2 or 4 wheel drive, regular cab or crew cab. Super sturdy final product. You will like how they feel for a firm step. 4 lower pinch seam bolts and material to spread the load with necessary upper and outer hardware.
They hide extremely well when retracted. Tight to your rocker both vertically and horizontally.
Amp makes a great part, but doesn’t make older applications and has a habit of not helping in the area of custom fitment. Probably saves them a big headache.
We are here to help! We offer these steps as an otherwise unavailable kit, even if it’s a little bit of a headache.
Includes various modified Amp parts. In house bracket parts and hardware. Light wiring harness modifications to ease install. Courtesy light for nighttime visibility. And instructions to show the general process.
These require space be available in your rocker area. WILL NOT WORK WITH ANY SIDE SADDLE FUEL TANKS that occupy space under the cab. Any other tank mounting is ok, just not the outside frame location.
Due to the rudimentary nature of the wiring in older pickups, both steps lower when opening either door. Our apologies.
