Upgrade the look of your 1987–1997 OBS Ford truck with the OBS Solutions Aluminum Tailgate Panel—a clean, classic solution for replacing or upgrading your factory panel. This piece is precision-built for a factory-style fit and finish.

If your truck did not come with a factory tailgate panel, you will need to drill two holes on each end of the tailgate. A drilling template is included with your order.
🔧 Product Details:

Material: Raw grained aluminum

Finish: Raw or optional powder coat
• Minor surface imperfections are normal due to the manufacturing and handling process
• To clean up raw aluminum: sand with 120gr, 220gr, and red Scotch-Brite
• We recommend applying a clear-coat for raw finish preservation -
Installation:
• Mounts using factory tailgate studs and hardware
• Installs with 3M Body Panel Adhesive (not included)
• Studs ship with nuts pre-installed to protect threads
⚠️ Notes on Fitment:

This panel does not mount completely flush.
Ford used special dies to shape the OEM panels, and our panel is designed to contour closely—but minor gaps are normal and are hidden once the tailgate is closed. -
